Yorkshire Mounted Brigade

The Yorkshire Mounted Brigade was a Territorial Force brigade already in existence at the outbreak of the war. At the outbreak of the war it was based at York. The brigade remained here until 1915 when the brigade was broken up.

37th Division - HQ and B Squadrons.
17th Division - A Squadron
19th Division - C Squadron.

1/1st Yorkshire Hussars. 04 Aug 1914 - 1915. Split up to provide cavalry for the:
50th Division - HQ and A Squadron.
46th Division - B Squadron.
49th Division - C Squadron.

1/1st East Riding of Yorkshire Yeomanry. 04 Aug 1914 - 1915. To the 63rd Division.
